SUMMARY:Waves of Emotion
DESCRIPTION:Emotions have a beginning, middle and end, like waves they ripple along, reach huge heights, then crash to the surface. The aim of this piece is to show, how we, as parents get through the wave, “sit with” and “tolerate” the distress however our emotions slowly reduce like the wave being pulled back into the sea. By recording local emotions, insights, experiences and perceptions of parenthood. This collaboration “Wave Of Emotions” offers an impression of hope, resilience and inspiration which unites us through our universal emotions of parenting.\nArtist Stephanie Henriksen appreciates all forms of art and especially how it can spark conversation. Stephanie’s love of experimenting with different materials and techniques has lead to a current interest in sculpture, movement, colour and texture which has encouraged a unique collaboration with artist Margarita Montes Granada whose use of printmaking, mixed media painting, and poetry explore themes relating to human experience. At the heart of Margarita’s work, is the encouragement for conversation, a chance to embrace our imperfections and differences.\n
